Dress Inspired Card

I had a long overdue thank you card to make for a dress that was given to my daughter last month.

I've finally made the card. I'm quite happy with how cute it looks :)

I miss cardmaking, creating, and cutting paper. I need to get back into the creative groove of things but lately I've been busy with either yoga, getting enough sleep, thinking about the summer months ahead (which includes moving to a trailer for the summer), and organizing my basement into an art studio of some sort.

That's it for now. Until next time!

Thank You

I made this simple thank you card a while back but never got a chance to post it. It was made to give to an interviewer when I got a job interview. While I didn't get the job, I'm glad to have gotten a chance to see and learn more another school. I feel that preparing and going to a job interview always broaden my  horizons.

All the items I used happened to be from my stash (I think I've caught the Use It Tuesday bug after being on their team :D). Other than letting my daughter use the washi tape, I've never got to use them on a card til this one. The stamp is unlinked and the thank you sentiment was previously stamped and cut but never got used for anything but lying on my craft table.

I'd like to enter this card into this week's thank you theme challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays.

Use It Tuesday #43: All About being Thankful

Time for some craft stash decluttering at Use It Tuesday!

This week it's all about being thankful.

Awhile back, my employer's wife give a gift to my daughter when they returned from their vacation in Paris. It was so kind and thoughtful of them to get something for my daughter.

Not only am I thankful for their kind gesture, I'm really thankful and happy to have this part time job 'cuz it gives me the chance to still spend a lot of time with my 2 year old daughter. Of course, I was inspired to make a thank you card in return.

I've realized there's inspiration everywhere in card-making.

My hoarded items include:
pink cardstock (Micheal's sold a 1 lb pack of scrap cardstock for about $1 but I've hardly used it), gold embossing powder (over a yr ago), yellow ribbon (may recognize from the ribbon project), uninked flower stamp.

I can't wait to see your projects when you link up over at Use It Tuesday. Challenge closes Nov 23rd and don't forget to mention your hoarded items.
